Do you have a smørekursus ?, if not then see more through this article as bla. indicate where you should lubricate your caravan and the lubricant you should use.
Application of the lubricant product:
Many traveling lubrication subjects are susceptible to, lubricating too much lubricant to the workpiece, and it is not correct. Excess lubricant is often result in adhesion, and collects dirt.
What type of lubricating product:
Lubricant is not only lubricant, there are differences in the lubricant using. It is not recommended, to use such WD40 multi oil spray classic as a lubricant, since lubricating effect is not optimal.
One should choose the lubricant containing PTFE, the colorless PTFE contains the durable Teflon, and the durable Teflon has a variety of applications. The product is not affected by water, chemicals or solvents, and the slippery substance, and is popular as a lubricant, the stain resistant finish (PTFE står for polytetrafluorætylen).
NB. If you choose good butters one maintains lubricating effect for a long time, Also at the moving parts.
Read more about our choice of lubricant later in the article.
Wrong butter product / butter work:
When we bought our used caravan was selling greased caravan, and it must be stressed seller had made butter work in the best sense – Meen see just this photo that shows how it looks ca. 3 months of butter work:
First, butter was performed by improper lubricant in our opinion,, and caused to form their own lubricant on the topics.
We have emphasized the following when choosing a lubricant:
• Use the correct lubricant and use as few products as possible
• Butter The product with a long shelf life (lubrication effect after application)
• Apply product to be invisible, ie not attract dirt so it becomes black / dirty where there have been lubrication such as shown in the pictures at the top of the article which happened lubrication which attracts dirt, and wherein the lubricating effect is poor
• Spread product should have very low friction ability
• Penetrates into hard to reach areas, and loosens fastgroede topics
• Protects against moisture, corrosion and rust damage
• Forms a hard protective film, that prevents ice formation and inhibits the formation of rust and corrosion.
Resistant to dust particles
• Reduces friction and prolongs the life of the lubricated parts
• Is acid-free
Choosing butter products:
There are many products on the market – We have chosen, use Super Lube products, and we use 3 products (Super Lube DRI-FILM, Super Lube Universalsmøremiddel, Super Lube universalfedt), but could perhaps do with 2 products – See more later in the article.
Super Lube penetrates, evaporates and distribute a chemically inert grease film that effectively lubricate, protect against rust and corrosion.
• Super Lube does not harm rubber, wood, leather, plastic or painted surfaces.
• Does not contain silicone.
• Does not smell, not distinguish – no oil separation.
• Colourless, spots and blotches not.
The selected products meet our expectations for a spread when we read about the products' data, and our use of the products must show whether it complies with our expectations.
Proper lubrication secure browsing. feature on your caravan keeps improving.
Now we start butter project !
Lubrication inside the caravan:
Our hinges on one cabinet had begun to creak a little, so lubrication can not be avoided. However, it could have been avoided if, for example annually lubricate hinges.
We use Super Lube DRI-Film because the surface is dry after applying lubricant product. It is important when applying butter product, to leave to degas, its strong Seconds. After sitting butter product on the subject, and perform its task “lubricity”.
Perhaps some apply butter product, and immediately opens and closes the cupboard door in the belief, the butter product to be distributed – But it is not correct way, you must leave butter product to emit, then you can open and close the closet.
Butter The product also protects against rust.
Lubricating the outside of the caravan:
We use Super Lube multi-purpose lubricant for the most part outside.
It is important when applying butter product, to leave to degas, its strong Seconds. After sitting butter product on the subject, and perform its task “lubricity”.
Butter The product also protects against rust.
Lubrication of the chassis on caravan:
The chassis should be lubricated, you can usefully see below showing where you should lubricate the undercarriage. We have greased regularly lead below with Super Lube Universal Lubricant, However, there are lubricated with grease nipples where fat is present.
NB. If the underbody of your caravan is not properly lubricated, it can cause your caravan is not optimal. Do you have problems with unstable caravan or it slows down as it should, you can browse. Try lubricating your chassis – see also. picture below which shows which sites you should lubricate.
Lubricating Stands for caravan:
Lubrication of Truma SER mover:
For lubricating the mover used Super Lube multi-purpose grease.
The above places that appear lubrication is just, to show some of the places you should make lubrication. You should make lubrication all relevant locations.
Our conclusion is all 3 butters seems very convincing, and our expectation that there is lubricant which sits, and attracts dirt m.v. is honored.
Super Lube Universal fat is really good, to use the mover.
We used Super Lube Universal Lubricant for our stand, but eventually we'll try Super Lube Universal grease on our stand.
Super Lube Universal Lubricant and grease are chemically the same as Super Lube DRI-FILM when the solvent evaporates. However, the spray does not have an equally high viscosity, as it forms a fatty film after evaporation. But you spray it up in a test tube, you will see that it thickens to a gel.
Super Lube Dri-Film er 100% oil - that's why it leaves a completely dry surface, and is therefore suitable all the places lubricant must be dry such as cabinet doors, kitchen drawers m.v.
Instead of contact spray, we used Super Lube Universal Lubricant for our 13 pole connector on the car and the caravan, just as we used it on the battery terminals in the caravan and the car.
