High risk of overloaded caravan?

Overload can significantly affect the wagon train handling, both in relation to the risk of getting slinger and the ability to slow.

June 2014 indictment, when the maximum weight of a vehicle or combination of vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of more than 3.500 kg exceeded by more than 6,0 pct. Although the excess does not constitute 6,0 pct. of the maximum weight, indictment also, if the permissible laden weight by more than 2.000 kg.

Moreover, if the exceeding of the maximum weight in such cases is more than 6,0 pct. or more than 2.000 kg, the police in connection with an inspection could withhold vehicle, until the situation is rectified, cf.. Road Traffic Act § 120 a, PCS. 1, No.. 2.

Fines and Rules in Denmark
The law is, a registered approved vehicle must never be subjected to a greater weight, than it is registered or authorized to carry. The rule of overload include both persons and goods.

Fines for exceeding permitted axle load / total weight:

Liability insurance covers

Information is not standard fines for overloaded caravans – It is assessed individually, bl.a. on how much the caravan is overloaded and
how much the assessed, to influence vehicle handling.

Weighing the caravan to see if it complies with the manufacturer's stated weights
To control the caravan weight you must pass a check weighing station or approved roads place. Caravan shall be placed only on the weight of, to get the correct weighing of your caravan, it would say you need to disconnect the caravan from the car's tow hitch.
